Viet Thanh Nguyen is the author of The Sympathizer, which won the 2016 Pulitzer Prize in Fiction, and a story collection, The Refugees, as well as the nonfiction texts Nothing Ever Dies and Race and Resistance: Literature and Politics in Asian America. He received a MacArthur Genius Grant in 2017.
