Last Days in Vietnam Premieres in Irvine

Theater premiere serves as beginning of 8-month engagement campaign.

This Friday, September 26, Rory Kenendy’s new documentary Last Days in Vietnam will premiere in Irvine at the University 6 Regal Theater. The premiere screening on Friday night will be followed by a Q&A with writer and producer Keven McAlester, and writer Mark Bailey.

This premiere is beginning of a seven-month engagement campaign surrounding the film, which will ultimately air on the PBS series American Experience. The team at American Experience will work closely with Vietnamese American community organizations, PBS SoCal (the local public television station), and other veteran and cultural organizations to bring the film into communities and foster a conversation in the coming months. Additional screenings and community events will be planned between November 2014 and April 2015.

  1. The Last Days in Vietnam looks very interesting. My Husband was a Vietnam Vet in 1968. Will the screening make it to Milwaukee WI at some point in time?

    Thank you
