What We’re Fighting For: Vietnamese Writers in Conversation

In March 2019, in New York City, a dozen writers of the Vietnamese diaspora gathered together to discuss community, the ghosts in their words, and what they’re fighting for with their art. The event was presented and sponsored by the Diasporic Vietnamese Artists Network (DVAN), Asian American Writers’ Workshop, and Asian Pacific American Institute at NYU.

Lawrence-Minh Bùi Davis, Mimi Khúc, and Isabelle Thuy Pelaud led insightful and enlightening conversations with a group of talented writers: Hieu Minh Nguyen, Amy Quan Barry, Abigail Rosewood, Vu Tran, Thanhha Lai, Violet Kupersmith, Viet Thanh Nguyen, Monique Truong, and Matt Huynh.
