diaCRITICS was founded in 2010 by Viet Thanh Nguyen, our founding editor and publisher.

Our blog is a project of the Diasporic Vietnamese Artists Network (DVAN), our parent organization. DVAN is fiscally sponsored by Intersection for the Arts.

We publish original content on a weekly basis. We are dedicated to promoting stories, artists, and writers of the Vietnamese and Southeast Asian diaspora. Our editorial staff and contributors work on a mostly volunteer basis. Our goal is to be able to pay our contributing writers and editors in the upcoming year.

We rely on the support of our readers and donors to DVAN. You can join us in our mission by making a donation to DVAN (via Intersection for the Arts). Donations are tax deductible.

We thank you for supporting Vietnamese and Southeast Asian diasporic art and artists!
